Reader Rabbit 1st Grade
It’s time to join Reader Rabbit on a fun-filled journey to the four corners of Wordville. There’s so much to do before opening night. Time is running out, but the show must go on!
Reader Rabbit 1st Grade provides a rich educational environment with activities designed to develop important first-grade skills.
Toddlers practice language arts, math, creativity, and science while they help Reader Rabbit and friends save Wordville’s annual musical. They then continue to explore and reinforce many of these ideas in the Learning Creations activities.
In first grade, toddlers take the basic concepts they have developed in preschool and kindergarten and apply these ideas to tasks like reading and arithmetic.
Six-year-olds use their mastery of letter recognition, letter and sound correspondence, and vocabulary to help develop their reading skills.
Mastery of addition and subtraction requires a strong understanding of how to count. Reader Rabbit 1st Grade gives toddlers opportunities to build academic skills and practice fundamental learning concepts.
To reinforce understanding and application of new concepts, the adventure activities in Reader Rabbit 1st Grade have increasingly complex skill levels, so the program can move from simple to more complex concepts at a pace that suits each player. Players can tackle more challenging problems even if they haven’t mastered all skills or concepts in the program.
Each skill area adjusts its level up or down independently from the others, thereby creating a tailored learning experience that addresses each player’s specific needs.
Reader Rabbit 1st Grade carefully tracks players’ responses to each level’s activities, using that information to adjust the type of puzzle presented.
Not all activities are suited to this type of auto-leveling (open-ended experiments, for example). These activities begin at the first difficulty level and become more complex as players complete more of the game.
The adventure activities in Reader Rabbit 1st Grade help toddlers build language arts, math, science, and creativity skills, while the Learning Creations activities encourage toddlers to explore and strengthen fundamental skills through creative play.
